The 70's-80's
Today |
For already fifty years OCMA
has constantly contributed to the research, development, and application of Aluminum
frames, and more generally to the utilization of Aluminum in the building trade. Due
to the resulting market tendencies, some key moments in OCMA's
history were of particular importance
The 70's: OCMA
correctly attributed the aluminum crisis to the limitations in the lines and to
the lack of chromatic solutions available at that time. Just the oxidation of
the sections alone in fact did not allow for the consistent insertion of the manufactured
aluminum product in every architectural situation. OCMA
was the first company in all of Europe to introduce the
industrial painting of the manufactured product, thereby overcoming these limitations
and thus allowing for quick recovery within the sector.
The 80's and 90's:
Straddling these ten years were the clean cuts and sharp edges, typical of the
frames sector in this time, which cued the birth of OCMA's
research area for the introduction of the pliable and enveloping line of sections,
"Rounded". By virtue of this Techno-Aesthetic research, in Italy
today Aluminum covers over 50% of the frames market.
The new Millennium:
The new century has seen OCMA's
Research and Development department busy in the continuous evolution of extrusions,
and at the same time and with an eye directed upstream at the productive spinneret,
the fusion plants for the production of Aluminum were put into operation. In
this sector, starting with the use of recovered, primary, semi-primary, and secondary
Aluminum, alloys of certified quality are produced.
Today the OCMA
S.P.A Industrial Group is made up of a productive structure which is distributed
in Italy with: " A main terminal of over 120.000 m2 which is the headquarters
for research, planning, development, extrusion, the refining of extrusions, and
fusion; " Centro Accessori, which deals in the production of original
accessories made exclusively for OCMA
systems.
